The MOTD feature needs to be more configurable and easy to use. In the OTRS User Forums, there is an extension that could be used for the basis http://forums.otrs.org/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=5385. Unfortunately, the module currently mis-uses a response template.
Travel agencies communicate with their customers via personal email or sometimes via a shared mailbox. Based on my experience that leads quite often to a situation where they you that the colleague who served you the week before is on leave and therefore they want you to tell the story all over again. Wouldn't it be just great having them to use OTRS to structure and document their communication and at the same time ...more »
I can think of OTRs being used in the public sector to answer question from their citizens related to the services offered by the public authorities.
I can think of a business scenario where you use OTRS simply to manage an x-number of email accounts you have with several providers like gmx, google, msn, etc.
It would be great if OTRS would provide you with an interface to a service validating entered address details. There are several providers out there like qas.com, https://webgis.usc.edu/Services/AddressValidation.
I would like to see a business scenario specialized on the management of a horse training stable. Where OTRS itself would cover the part for communication with the customers, veterinary, blacksmith, etc.
the horse stable itself can be a CI in the CMDB as well as other materials.
To complete this scenario, I also foresee a need to implement a scenario for billing purposes.
I suggest to have an interface in between Freshbooks and OTRS in place in order to bill customers for delivered services.
I would like to have a configurable FollowUp recognition in Place. If you Exchange Tickets with an external Provider, it would be nice to have OTRS also matching on external Ticket numbers and store them in a FreeTextField
I can think of a feature which would allow an OTRS instance to use the service catalog of another OTRS. This means if a service organization is using services of another underpinning contract to offer innovative services they could have their OTRS talking to each other.
I would love to see the Forward schedule of change (FSC) to oppose it's information via a iCal calendar users can subscribe to in order to see the FSC within their preferred calendaring option.
I would love to transfer the existing documentation into a wiki where the community has the chance to contribute to it
I would like to have the change management to send out iCal invites to assigned Work Order Agents for Work Orders. If the agent accepts the invite the system sets the Work Order automatically to accepted.
If the invite is declined the Work Order is set to canceled and the Change Manager is informed
